Hi, my name’s Lizzie. My two sisters and I have shared some happy memories of Mayford Preschool. I left for Barnsbury infant School the year my mum (Chris) took over the running of the Preschool and we’ve shared a strong family connection ever since. After leaving Christ’s College, I went onto Merrist Wood College to study Animal Management with a view to a career in conservation. However, after returning to Mayford as a Yellow Lady I found I wanted to further my opportunities with the under 5s. In 2017 I completed a level 3 in Childcare and am now very happy to be the Assistant Manager.
Julia has worked as a childcare professional for over 20 years. She started her career at the creche at St Peters Hospital where she worked her way up the ladder to become deputy manager. She is married with three children and lives in Mayford Village, which is how she came to know the preschool. She loved its happy, friendly atmosphere and decided to send all of her children to the preschool. Four years ago she was delighted to become a ‘Yellow Lady’ herself. Julia loves crafty activities and telling stories with props.
After leaving University a long time ago Ann worked in local government until her children were born. Both of them attended Mayford Preschool and have always enjoyed coming back to visit. Once her younger daughter was settled at school Ann joined the ‘Yellow Team’ in 2004. She takes great pleasure in helping the children grow in confidence and seeing their characters develop. She especially looks forward to our Music and Movement sessions when we can all dance ‘like no-one’s watching’!
After the birth of her sons, following a career in insurance, Carole showed herself to be a natural with children. In 2009, when two boys that she minded attended Mayford Preschool she became a member of the team. Her individuality, humour and patience shine through making her extremely popular with the children in her care. She enjoys holidays by the coast, walking and cycling.
After graduating in 2002, Anna began a career in finance at the Arcadia Group during which time she studied for her processional accountancy qualification. Anna subsequently moved roles to work in finance at TUI Travel Plc and left the company when her son was born.
Anna has two primary school age children who both attended Mayford preschool and she is delighted to be able to continue her longstanding relationship with the preschool as a member of staff. She is particularly enjoying seeing the development and growth in each and every child and feels very lucky to be a part of their preschool journeys.
Outside of preschool Anna enjoys to keep fit and loves to travel with her family!
